Winter engagement photoshoot in a cozy city - love story in The Hague
Couple photosession on a rooftop - winter shoot in The Hague
It may seem like winter isn’t the best time for a photoshoot. It’s cold, gloomy, with no flowers or greenery. But in my opinion, winter is actually a great time for a photoshoot-for several reasons.
And here is the proof - a winter engagement photoshoot in The Hague. It was December, early morning, and yet it was an amazing time to take photos like these.
Old streets, fairy lights, and a rooftop view at the end - everything went perfectly.

Winter in the Netherlands is super cozy
The gloomy weather and the warm lights in the windows of the old part of The Hague make it feel as if we’re in a Dickens novel. In the morning, when the streets are almost empty, we have the perfect opportunity to create beautiful love-story images.
Early morning walk through cozy streets, The Hague
First, we walked through the most romantic streets in The Hague. The timing was perfect- the streets were almost empty, and the warm lights from the shop windows created a beautiful atmosphere. Despite it the photoshoot took place in the city center it felt intimate and relaxed.
So yes - if you ask me if a photoshoot without crowds in the center of a big city like The Hague is possible- I will say yes! Just pick the time recommended by me - your photographer :)

Winter coats and wool sweaters!
A small tip on outfits for love story shoot in winter - You don’t need special outfits - your favourite wool sweater and coat will be the best! You can add winter hat and scarf and gloves - you will stay warm and look great at the same time. If you’re not afraid of a cold weather, you may try more elegant outfits - but remember to bring a backup sweater :)
